I am a twenty-year old part-time university student available to provide occasional or regular childcare in my home (Clairfields area near St. Paul school) or yours. I am available most of the time, including before school, evenings, weekends, and nights. I am an upbeat, caring and organized caregiver. Kids in my care can expect games, crafts, music and dance, outings, help with homework, healthy snacks, and a chance to have fun, learn and grow in a safe and positive environment. All clients are welcome- I am comfortable and experienced with children who have learning exceptionalities and behaviour issues. I am confident and competent with babies from newborns on up and experienced with school-aged kids/teenagers too.
I am certified in Standard First Aid and CPR and can provide a criminal record check. I have been babysitting since I first took the Red Cross chilcare course in 1999.
I expect to earn my independent driving license in March. For the moment I have a full transit pass and can navigate public transit with children.
My experience includes:
- 8 months of full-time social work with the government of Ontario (2 summer contracts: May-August 2008, May-August 2009)
-Supply teaching for the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District school board (spring ’08)
-Member of the call in staff at Wendy’s Little Footprints daycare centre, a licensed day nursery serving children 6months and up(spring- summer ’08)
-Camp counselling at Camp Quin Mo Lac in Tweed, Ontario, including one year in a supervisory role (Summer 05, 06, 07)
-Experience with one-on-one tutoring and program design for children and youth, particularly in reading
- A placement at Give Yourself Credit alternative school, Guelph (September-December 2009)
-Many hours of volunteer experience at Stone Lodge retirement residence, Guelph

I will be away for a field course for school from February 14-24.
 
Price List
General $7.50/hour
Less than 48 hours notice $9.50/hour (Ontario minimum wage)
Overnight (10pm-6am) $50
Before school care $10/day
After school care before 6:30 pm $15/day
Other duties (meal preparation, light housework, pet care, etc.) are negotiable. I am a highly capable cook!
Rates for parent’s workdays are negotiable based on parents’ wages (if you make $9.50/hour, I’m not going to charge you $7).
Bi-weekly payment accepted.
